    2025 PCWA Amazing Race – Do You Wanna Win a Million Dollars?

    Think you have what it takes to win a million dollars? Well, here is your chance to win a Million Dollars in the third PCWA Amazing Race!

    Get ready for a thrilling day of clue-solving, strategic racing and plenty of laughs as you and your team navigate through a series of mystery locations. At each checkpoint, you’ll receive a new clue leading you to your next destination—until you reach the final pit stop!

    Two ways to win a "million dollar" prize:

    • "First Past the Post" Prize – awarded to the fastest team.
    • Lucky Draw Winner – all teams that successfully finish go into the draw.

    To keep things fair and prevent convoy-style racing, teams will receive different sets of clues at the start—so no tailgating your competition! - It is for a Million Dollars after all.

    After the race, join fellow members to celebrate your victories (or laugh about your near misses) as you swap stories of your adventure at our "secret" final pit stop! ️ Enjoy a set two-course meal ($55 per person), starting with a crudité platter on arrival, followed by your choice of main, selected on the day. Drinks available for purchase as are desserts.

    SSR3– MT OMMANNEY HILL CLIMB

    This is a PCWA Invited event hosted by the

    Triumph Sports Owners Association of WA (TSOA) club.

    Get ready for an adrenaline-filled weekend as we gear up for our third sporting event of the year at Mount Ommanney, near Northam! As part of the exciting Northam Motor Sport Festival, this event promises high-speed action alongside a line-up of festival highlights, including the Bendigo Bank Flying 50 street circuit, food trucks, monster truck displays, and more. This year, TSOAWA has mapped out a thrilling new course—twice the length of previous runs—featuring a unique start and finish within the same ‘garage.’ To keep the action smooth and competitive, entries will be capped at 50 cars.

    To compete in this TSOAWA sporting event please read the TSOA-Mt-Ommanney-Hill-Climb-sup-regs-April-26-2025.pdf. You will also need to complete the TSOA entry forms -Entry-form-TSOA-Mt-Ommanney-Hill-climb-April-26-2025.pdf  and the Non Speed self Scrutineering form.pdf and pay to be able to register for the event.     If you are not familiar with the PCWA series requirements, please see "How to join PCWA Sports Series". Please ensure that you fill out the PCWA Sports Series Vehicle Disclosure Form to join the series. Email the completed form to sportingevents@porscheclubwa.org.au

    EVENT DETAILS:

    • Date: Sunday 26th April 2025
    • Location: Mount Ommanney, near Northam - Part of: Northam Motor Sport Festival
    • Registration: Register and pay, (Cash or EFT only), via supplied paper entries links above. Email payment slip along with all your completed entry forms to Bruce Pollock - brucepollock9@gmail.com 
    • Cost per Head: $100.00
    • Registrations Close: Monday 21st of April 2025
    • Gates Open: 8:00AM
    • Scrutineering: 8:30AM
    • Drivers Briefing: 8:50AM
    • Event Start: 9:00AM
    • Gates Close: - 5PM (unless finished sooner)
    • No more than 2 entries per car will be accepted.
    • Food truck will be on site from 8:30AM serving coffee, snacks and plenty of fast food outlets nearby.

    PCWA members do not need day membership of the Triumph Sports Owners Association of WA, (TSOA) to compete.

    EVENT FORMAT: Entrants will line up at the start line on Mt Ommanney Road, about 80 meters from the Mitchell Avenue intersection.

    When given the signal, drivers will:

    1. Ascend the hill to the summit.
    2. Navigate the carpark in a counter clockwise direction.
    3. Descend the hill and come to a complete stop in the designated finish ‘garage’.
    • The starter will count down: “3,2,1, GO”.
    • Timing begins when the timing beam is broken at the start.
    • The timing beam is triggered upon entering the finish ‘garage’.
    • A second beam detects if a driver fails to stop within the garage, which results in a penalty.

    Each entrant gets 4 runs, structured as follows:

    • Run 1 = Sighting Run (to familiarise with the course).
    • Runs 2-4 = Timed competition runs.
    • Drivers must stop completely in the designated ‘garage’ at the end of the course.

    Please note the following: This is a AASA event therefore it is mandatory to hold a current AASA general speed event licence.

    While the weather is still grand, why not make the most of it? Dust off your Porsche and soak up the sunshine on a midweek drive that reminds you why you love every moment behind the wheel.

    We’ll wrap up the drive in style with a relaxing lunch at the Royal Perth Yacht Club as guests of Myles & Ros Ferguson.

    MEETING TIME: 10.30 for a 11:00 am departure

    DRIVING TIME:  55 mins (35km)

    LUNCH: 12pm @ Royal Perth Yacht Club

    Join us for a midweek escape that’s all about enjoying the ride! 

    This is a pay-your-own event with a maximum of 20 lunch spaces due to limitations of guest invitations extended to Myles by the Royal Perth Yacht Club.

    SSR4 – COLLIE Long Circuit SPRINT Sprint (Round 3) - (PCWA INVITED EVENT)

    Please register here for club records and social catering only.

    To participate, you must also register and pay via the HSV Owners Club of WA website (links below), as they are the event hosts.

    For those that have not previously attended a round run by HSVOCWA, you will need to register on the HSV Owners Club Web Site to be able to register for the event. Click on "Register" (top right), then scroll down to "Partner Club Member" and click "Sign Up". Those that have previously registered do not need to register again, simply login HSV Owners Club of WA -login using your previous "username" and "password". (PCWA members do not need day membership of the HSV Owners Club to compete).

    COST PER HEAD:  $280.00 plus $20.00 for Dorian Timing Transponder Hire (if you don't have your own).

    NOTE: This event is limited to 60 starters. Not more than 2 Entries in any one car will be accepted.

    Event Concludes:  4:30PM approx.
    "Sessions will be a timed sprint of up to 8 vehicles started individually from pit exit with a suitable gap between cars, For the long track, each group will conduct 1 warm-up lap, 2 timed laps and 1 cool-down lap. This may be extended to 4 timed laps if numbers and conditions permit on the day. Starting order will be random. Competitors should note that this is not a race and that overtaking in corners is not permitted."

    SPORTING EVENT REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: To comply with the "Return to Racing" requirements under the Australian Auto-sport Alliance (AASA), please ensure you have, at minimum, an AASA General Speed LicenceStay informed by reading the  PCWA_Sports_Series_Rules_2025.pdf . The specific requirements for vehicles & drivers are defined by the AASA-2023-Standing-Regulations-V3 Document.

    As we have joined AASA all PCWA drivers have to fill out the PCWA Vehicle Disclosure Form  for series participation.  If you’re new to the PCWA Sports Series, please check out"How to join PCWA Sports Seriesfor guidance. 

    We recommend heading down on Saturday and staying overnight in Collie for the Motorsport event. Accommodation fills up quickly, so we suggest booking early.

    • Monday 25th of August Closed Transport with CEVA logistics (PER-ADL) Cars to be delivered to CEVA
    • Friday night, 5th September: PCWA SA Pre-tour gathering
    • Friday, 12th Sept: Qantas flights (Y Class). Prepaid coach transfer from Adelaide airport to CEVA Depot (154-196 Cormack Rd, Wingfield, SA). Operating hours: 8 AM - 4 PM (Mon – Fri).
    • Friday 12th – Tuesday 17th Sept4 nights’ -Accommodation in Adelaide's CBD (4.5 star) incl. car parking, (breakfast optional).
    • Friday night - PCWA South Australia Welcome drinks!
    • Saturday 13th Sept – Visit Porsche Centre Adelaide - 1 Main North Rd, Medindie SA, meet up for coffee & chat with the Porsche Club of SA members.  Afternoon cruise & lunch.

    • Monday 15th Sept – Free Day suggest visiting the National Wine Centre of Australia, stroll around Botanical Gardens. Coopers’ Brewery - Tour optional!

    • Wednesday 17th Sept – Tour around the Barossa valley, visit the National Motor Museum.
    • Thursday 18th Sept – Travel the back roads to Hahndorf. -                         2 nights’ Accommodation in Hahndorf (4 star) incl. car parking.
    • Friday 19th Sept – Explore Harndorf, Adelaide Hills & Mt Lofty.
    • Saturday 20th Sept – Travel inland to Robe known for its history, beaches & fishing, located on the Limestone Coast, on the southern shore of Guichen Bay. - 2 nights’ Accommodation in Robe (3.5 star) incl. car parking.
    • Sunday 21st Sept – Explore Mt Gambier & the Limestone Coast.
    • Monday 22nd Sept – Travel across the Murray river on the Ferry to Victor Harbour. - 2 nights’ Accommodation in Victor Harbor (4 star) incl. car parking.
    • Tuesday 23rd Sept – Explore Victor Harbor -Hop on the Horse Drawn Tramway to Granite Island, Fleurieu Peninsula & Cape Jervis or visit Kangaroo Island.
    • Wednesday 24th Sept Travel to Glenelg via Mclaren Vale, The d'Arenberg Cube, lunch at d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant - 2 nights’ Accommodation in Glenelg (4 star) incl. of full breakfast & car parking.
    • Thursday 25th Sept – Explore Glenelg’s rich history, Jetty Road, Moseley Beach Club- Australia's only official beach bar, sip cocktails while watching the sunset.
    • Thursday Night - Farewell South Australia group dinner!
    • Friday 26th Sept Return as per personal arrangements. Car drop-off at CEVA Depot, followed by a Qantas Flight to WA, (You will be coming home to a long weekend in WA). For those not driving home or continuing to tour the Great Ocean Road along Victoria’s coastline, we will provide a suggested drive.

    …And this is just a snippet! More activities, lunches, wine tours will be available as a whole group, in smaller groups, or individually... you choose!

    WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

    Tour Capacity & Cost

    • Maximum Capacity: 20 cars / 40 people
    • Estimated Cost: $7,000 per couple | $5,000 per single participant (varies based on accommodation choice)

    Payments to PCWA

    • What’s Included: Covers one-way car transport & flights, coach transfers, key activities, tour merchandise, & selected group meals.
    • EFT Deposit: $1,100 per person (PCWA invoice issued upon registration)due by 24th Feb.
    • Final Balance: A second invoice will be emailed in early July for the remaining payment & any additional options.

    Accommodation & Travel

    • Accommodation: Members book & pay directly at PCWA-recommended hotels.
    • Car Transported to Adelaide: Must be delivered to CEVA on [TBC] (Return transport is an additional cost for those not driving back).
    • Return Flights: Members must book & manage their own return flights.

    Additional Considerations

    • Personal Expenses: Any additional meals, drinks, fuel, tolls, activities, or incidentals are at members' discretion.
    • Travel Insurance: Strongly recommended to cover unforeseen events.

     

    We are managing flights & freight to Adelaide, merchandise & key event arrangements to streamline the experience.

    We’re also happy to assist with personal bookings if needed.

    CONDITIONS:

    • CEVA Costing is based on vehicles with a value up to $100K. Vehicles valued over this amount (up to $200K) will incur a surcharge of $3 for each $1,000 for CEVA warranty purposes.
    • PCWA Financial Member.
    • Limited Liability PCWA is a non-profit club & takes no responsibility for changes to itineraries due to weather, venue closures, or other external factors beyond its control.

     

    CANCELLATIONS:

    • Deposit: Non-refundable (or at the discretion of the PCWA Committee in exceptional circumstances).
    • Final Payment: Non-refundable 30 days prior to departure or after travel has commenced (100% forfeiture).
    • Accommodation: Refer to each venue's terms and conditions.

    *REGISTRATION EXTENDED to APRIL 7, 2025* - to allow more members to join. However, deposits are due as soon as you receive your invoice. 

    Spaces are limited so please RSVP to avoid disappointment!

    Final details and roadbooks will be distributed at the tour pre-departure gathering!
