Historical Tour of New Norcia and the Monastery

STAGE ONE: 
WHEN: Sunday 7th May 2023
MEETING POINT: The Margaret River Chocolate Company - 5123 West Swan Road, West Swan
MORNING COFFEE: 9am for a 10.30am take-off.
STAGE TWO: Starts with a straight run out of the Swan Valley to Avon Valley – visiting the Historic Benedictine town of New Norcia, “a piece of Old Spain in the middle of the Australian bush”. Settled in 1847 the community of Benedictine monks still own and operate this truly unique settlement today.

LUNCH: To help with catering please select your preferred options and pay when registering:
1. FISH & CHIPS $25pp
2. MONASTERY MEAL OF THE DAY $30pp (Minestrone soup, Slow cooked roast beef or Stuffed mushroom with ratatouille; Roast root vegetable side; Apple Strudel with ice cream. Meal served with a complimentary glass of wine).
All meals come with tea, coffee and water. A fully licenced bar will be open on the day.
STAGE THREE There is so much to do and explore in Australia’s only
monastic town - New Norcia - Benedictine Community. After lunch you will have the opportunity to go on one of the tours or simply enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the town discovering the twenty-seven National Trust buildings for yourself. Map supplied with roadbook.
