A Day in York with Peter & Robin Briggs
The York Motor Museum opened in 1979 and is now considered as one of the finest private collections of its kind in Australia. In addition to the unique display of veteran, classic, racing and vintage cars, the museum is also a treasure trove collection of posters, motoring memorabilia and photographs – each a piece of history which is sure to delight any motoring enthusiast.
Our very special guests, Peter and Robin Briggs, will be taking PCWA members on a special private tour through the museum that Peter and James Harwood established and built 37 years ago.
Ever the consummate and charming raconteur, Peter will engage, fascinate and intrigue as he takes us on a journey through the incredible history, providence and adventures of the cars on display and also of the York Motor Museum itself.
Additionally, the Shire of York will be supporting our event with the special road closure of Avon Terrace – just for us – so members can park our Porsches along the main street in town for the duration of our visit. Now, that’s a warm welcome by the Town of York!
A Day in York with Peter and Robin Briggs will be a truly memorable day. The program includes a scenic drive to York, personalised tour of the museum and private lunch with our guests at the lovely York Palace Hotel restaurant.
