    • Karri Valley Resort

One of the most anticipated event of the year is here!

Back by popular demand, we are having our Christmas in July in Karri Valley this year. We have secured 35 rooms in the Karri Valley Resort for this event at a special rate for members.

There is something for everyone and you can choose from a range of options most suitable to you. Get in quick to avoid any disappointment!

As the accommodation is limited, the reservation will be on a first come first serve basis. If rooms are sold out, you can either be on the waitlist (while we will work to secure more rooms) or you can secure your own accommodation around that area. Either way, you will still be able to join us for drives and meals on those days.

We only have a handful of 3 bedroom chalets as most of the rooms can only accommodate 2 people. Please indicate how many guests will be in your room in your registration. For the 3 bedroom chalets, priority will be given to family memberships and members who want to share.

In terms of planning, we need your help! If you are familiar with the region and would like to assist the committee to organise some of the routes or lunch bookings, please contact us!

    • Date: 16 - 18 July 2021 (Friday to Sunday)
    • Region: Pemberton and Surroundings
    • Accommodation: RAC Karri Valley Resort

Option 1 -  3D2N Karri Valley Package for 2 people at a discounted price of $774  (inclusive of GST). This includes 2 nights stay ($538), and 3 course dinner ($59pp) for both nights. For singles, your meals can be adjusted accordingly to just one person (total of $656).

Option 2 - 3D2N Own Accommodation - I want to participate but would like to find my own accommodation.

Option 3 - Drive only no overnight stay - I will only participate on the drive/lunch there.

Option 4 - Mailing List Only - I am not ready to commit but would like to receive information on this event.

Registration for one of the options above is required to receive further details and information.

There are several additional fields in the registration form which will help us manage the reserved rooms and dining room.

Registration closes 19 March. If you wish to receive information after this date please email Hui at secretary@porscheclubwa.org.au.

You will be contacted to make payments for the accommodation.

Payment will be required by mid-April to secure your room and there will be no cancellation charges if cancellation is made 30 days prior to your stay.

25,000 light years to the centre – our longest run yet!

    *Expression of Interest Only*

Dates:  Fri Oct 8th, Sat Oct 9 & Sun Oct 10th
     Destinations:
     Friday:  New Norcia Hotel
Saturday:  Dalwallinu, Mt Gibson, Paynes Find
     Saturday Night:  The Universe
Sunday:  Mount Singleton (climb) –> Lunch –> Perth
Distance:  418km Perth to Paynes Find

Guided by amateur astronomers provided by the Perth Observatory, a limited number of Porsche Club members are invited to observe and learn about our solar system and deep space around a campfire in the amazing red gibber plains of Paynes Find.

The guides are bringing their advanced computer controlled telescopes and knowledge of deep space.

Although the focus is stargazing, we are driving into the most spectacular wildflower country in the middle of the wildflower season so we will visit Mt Gibson Station, climb Mt Singleton and should get some amazing images of the flower colours and vastness of the Mesa Mountain top country.

You will be staying in the best accommodation money can buy in both locations, BUT that is modest!  Come prepared to share a bathroom and eat simple pub food.  5 Million Star accommodation may be available with showers should Paynes Find Hotel overflow with Porsche owners.

The route will include the world famous wildflower circuit, and will be on sealed roads (depending on road works).  There will be one stretch of 6km of dirt road into Mt Gibson station but we can take it slowly – don’t panic!

    Bring:
    • Your Porsche
    • Telescopes or Binoculars
    • Chairs to sit around campfire
    • Warm clothes for stargazing
    • A bottle of wine to share under the stars
    • And an understanding this is not like the tour of Europe!
     Cost:  To Be Announced
     Total Numbers:
     To Be Announced

NOTE: If you would like to express interest in attending this event, please register to assist us with planning accommodation and for catering purposes. Further information on the event will be available closer to October.

Registration close on 7 June 2021.

Wild apricot only recognises one registrant per membership. If there is more than one person attending, please ensure you register the second member/registrant as guest.

This event is brought to you by Deryck Graham and Grace Tan.
