For Round 7 of the Sports Series we return for a Sunday full day event at Jacks Hill Climb - Barbagallo Raceway.  We will have the HSV, VSCCWA and TSOA Clubs with us.

Registration must be completed on the CAMS website, https://www.cams.com.au   If you are new to the CAMS site you'll need to use your CAMS number to login and set yourself and your car up on the system.  You only need to do that once and then registering for an entry is simple and quick.
The cost is $100 per competitor and is paid direct to CAMS via the aforementioned registration portal.  Dorians are not required.  Lunch will be provided.

2018 Sports Series - Round 7 - Jacks HiIl

  • Round 7 of the PCWA Sports Series is a Hill Climb at Jacks Hill (next to Wanneroo Raceway, Google it if you don't know where this is) 
  • Sunday 14 October 2018 and cost is $100.00 and includes lunch.
  • Scrutineering is at 7:45 am at Jacks Hill and event finishes at 4.00pm
  • Members are encouraged to take part, It's basically a timed run in one direction with a flying finish. You will love this so get organised now and have the best fun you can possibly have in your Porsche by competing in the PCWA Sports Series!

This is a hill climb event which means you will be racing the clock to get your best time for the run up the hill!

Scrutiny of Vehicles

All vehicles entered for PCWA events including Sprints and Hillclimbs are subject to scrutiny and all competitors must present their vehicles prior to competing in the event.  At scrutiny your helmet must be presented for inspection and approval. Apparel must comply with Schedule D of the CAMS Manual. Your CAMS Licence, and vehicle log book (if applicable) and State Drivers Licence must be produced at scrutiny and on request during the meeting.

    

Extra Info for new members

The specific requirements for vehicles and drivers are defined in the TSOA Supplementary Regulations.  The key points to be aware of for the PCWA Sporting Series as per the CAMS Schedules are:

1.   Licence requirements: Level 2 Speed Cams licence: Go to www.cams.com.au to fill in the application form.


2.   ASA Approved helmet that meets the Australian Standard AS1698    (other acceptable overseas standards are SFI24.1, SA2000, E22 & BS6658-85) these are available at motorbike or speed shops.

3.   Clothing needs to be wrist to neck to ankle, flammable synthetic material is not acceptable.  Cotton is recommended.

4.   Fire extinguisher fitted to your vehicle, No new holes need to be drilled in your car, existing seat bolts are utilised and the frame & bottle can be easily removed when not needed.  Extinguisher needs to meet Australian Standard AS1841 and be 900g minimum capacity.  It needs to be firmly secured and must be not more than 3 years old.

5.   Visible tow points/hook(s) front and rear, where they are not visible they need to be marked with the word “Tow”.  Stickers are available from race shops such as Go Gear for this.  Porsche tool kits have a tow hook which is acceptable

6.   Display a blue triangle (sides 150mm) indicating the location of the battery. Stickers are available from race shops such as Go Gear for this, alternatively electrical tape can be used to mark out a triangle.

7.   Glass headlights need to have an adhesive cover or tape fitted to prevent the spillage of glass onto the track.
